Boat Pro

We offer the Boat Pro as a one day course, self study or just challenge the exam to obtain the PLEASURE CRAFT OPERATOR CARD.

This is the minimum requirement which is currently being phased in.

Boating Course

We offer the BOATING course in the fall and winter months.
The total duration is 15 weeks, one night per week (7:00pm to 9:00pm).
This course will give you the knowledge to operate a boat safely with confidence.

• Our Winter course is currently underway at the Penetanguishene Centennial Museum (13 Burke Street)

VHF Course (Maritime Radio Course)

A VHF course to obtain a restricted operator's certificate (ROC maritime with DSC endorsement) is offered each spring. Self study or challenge exams also available by request.

• Our next course will be on May 1, 2008 (7pm to 9pm)

• cost is $65 ($45 for those with an ROCm who need the DSC endorsement)

Other courses such as Piloting are offered periodically when enough interest justifies having the course.

Electives:
Maritime Radio(VHF)

The OPEN LEARNING CENTRE is available for the advanced courses and electives.
*note: advanced courses have the BOATING course prerequisite and can only be taken once prior couses in the list have been completed.
